Meagan Killian is an emerging artist whose work explores the intersection of anatomy and architecture. She earned her MFA from the University at Buffalo, where she began developing an investigation into what she considers architectural physiology—the shared structural and functional systems that shape both the human body and the built environment.

Killian examines the balance and tension between symmetry and asymmetry found in skeletal frameworks, organ systems, and muscular structures. By fragmenting architectural forms, she creates a dialogue between corporeal and constructed systems, revealing their parallel principles of support, circulation, fragility, and adaptation.

Working across acrylic, watercolor, paper cutouts, and wood constructions, Killian layers transparency and shifting perspectives to blur the boundaries between interior and exterior space.
